hey, anyone hear about Vanity's 3rd solo album with the single Wild Cherry on it? i saw her on a talk show pluggin the single but never heard it or the album . . . there's got to be recordings out there somewhere . . . would love to hear them!!! this was pre-salvation days . . .

I've never heard of Wild Cherry before. Is that a song produced by Jesse Johnson? Because she was working with him on a new album in '88. (She said that on MTV while promoting the Undress single.) Two of their collaborations ended up on the Action Jackson soundtrack (incl. Undress). They were typical Jesse Johnson-sound, but those are the best Vanity songs since Vanity 6. So I find it quite unfortunate that the album never materialized. (I love Jesse's albums.)

You guys always miss the point. No one wants someone to destroy their bodies, but just like Prince, Vanity changed her style that was so desirable and refreshing that we miss it. Just like some miss Prince's songs that were suggestive.

No one's saying that they need to continue a life-threatening or hurtful lifestyle, just keep giving the public what they like as far as their recordings go.

However, that's still totally up to those individuals, but to say that those that would like the old Vanity back or even the old Prince back, now that they've converted, with their unhealthy ways is both incriminating and foolish not only for them, but to you to even suggest such a thing.
