Can anyone shed some light?

I was just given 3 of their CD's...Visualize World, Digitalize World, and Gravy...
Upon first listen, I like the funk, but they seem to have regressed from their debut.

Who plays with them? Are they musicians, or studio babies?

well they were a local minneapolis band, funky yes had a huge like cult following every Sunday the Cabooze here in Mpls.

the players: Spicy T - vocals raps, Brian gallagher-sax/flute, jim anton - bass vocals, julius juice collins - lead vocals, ken -congos, jon strawberry fields -guitar vocals Dave Anania - vocals percussion.

talk about funky and a following they are making their third c.d. and they have been broken up for a couple of years now. they twice have had a reunion which was/were truly awesome. Seen Julius and the rest out at Paisley a couple of times, don't think anything went down, and once at a Paisley Party Prince yelled out to the audience " i hear Greazy Meal is getting funkier than me?" or something to that effect can't quote exactly or he ask are they funkier than me?

other band members have gone out to do some things Dave plays with the Blue man group in New York (there are one or two others on other coasts)

some travel with Tom Scott. they all do some things.

Julius Collins has another band called "Juice" that plays around some band members followed him in that group along with Michael Bland playing drums. otherwise he also sings with a group The Lengendary Combo on Mondays at Bunkers also local place.

he dated robin robinson for a minute there. although he did have a crush on my friend Jodi who was the vision of a Barbie doll - boobs and all. but she was already taking to the man

still that never stopped anyone in the band trying to get p's women. must of been some kind of game for them.

Yeah, I had heard about that first marriage from a few friends of mine who have done sessions with her (the ex-wife, a singer). That woman is an AMAZING vocalist, very well respected in the industry and only does a-list projects: the word is that she was too fabulous on her own in NY and LA to be riding his coattails couped up in the midwest, and it just didn't work out. Oddly enough, I do remember seeing him during his NPG days under Prince hanging out in Miami Beach; right about the time he was married (!) I saw him in some cafe spoon feeding some little chocolate waif of a chick who CLEARLY wasn't his wife- looks like he REALLY is into sistas
in a major way, lol! At any rate, he's getting married? To who? When? That child dosen't even look old enough to be DATING, let alone marrying folks. I need to eat whatever it is he's eating so I can look great at that age too! But then they always say that men age more slowly than women, so I guess I'll just have to rely on my melanin to keep my skin lookin' right .
