"Crazy You" and Maxwell I was digging back into one of the first records that made me fall in love with Prince music and put on "Crazy You". I remember buying the 45 of "Uptown" and it was the B side. I listened and it sounded so much like Maxwell that it wasnt funny. I was thinking that with the current new realization of Prince's genius, we all are becoming more aware of his influence on just about every young artist of this generation. The obvious ones like DAngelo, Outkast, and Lenny Kravitz are there. But rarely have I been struck so prominently by such a similarity. Put it on and then listen to most any Maxwell tune. Its wild! | |
