Okay, from my experience here on the org, i have noticed that most of us prince fams dislike mani and praise mayte to the highest. I know i find myself enjoying seeing pictures of P with mayte more than i do with mani but really can't bring myself to an acceptable reason why.

Maybe it could be b/c we had seen mayte and P inseparable for almost all of the 90's, and the fact that they had a child together, but that's still no excuse. Since its obvious most of us haven't even met these people before in our lives, then i must ask this question...

why do we feel the need to hate on mani if she makes our hero happy?

why do we need to discuss her? I'm not hating on you...I apologize if I came off like that...maybe I just need to speak only for myself.

I have no interest in speculating about things like the women in Prince's life. That has nothing to do with what I get out of him as a fan of his work.

I don't hate Mayte. I don't hate Mani.

...but I LOVE Prince. Amen.

Mayte was firstly a performer in Prince's band (a dancer, with an average voice and no obvious musical ability beyond that) and later the choice was made to make their relationship relatively public.

It's clear that Prince presently wants a private life and for it to include his relationship with Manuela, so as a matter of common respect, there's nothing to discuss.

#1 i wasn't speculating about his personal life, i was just wondering why people here on the org hate on his wife so badly when obviously they haven't met her and do not know her, so why hate....

#2 its apparent that everybody and their mom has been discussing his relationships about other women on this site yet this thread is getting backlash and

#3 if u don't want to discuss his personal life, fine i respect that, but why post on a site where it is discussing it? that makes no sense

#4 i love P and his music, but just thought that i give a topic some people could shed some light on, instead my thread just receives negative criticism which i think is very hypocritical (like when a person discusses a musician, all they talk about is his music...give me a break even in interviews they get off the subject of music, yeesh)
