On his website, Free lists Prince as one of the artists that he has worked with. I dont recall him ever doing anything with Prince.

Hmm, I think I've read something like that on the album notes of Shalamar's "Circumstantial Evidence". He was not mentioned as Prince, though. Somewhere I have this record. I will check this tomorrow.

Micki Free became really good friends with Prince in 1985/86,and they hung out a few times and jammed together on several occasions.Not sure if any songs were recorded,though.

So that Dave Chappelle story was true?!

There is no documented proof of it. No recordings or live performances wit the two of them. I dont believe it. His solo albums are cheesy and overpriced.

After searching through my trillions of LP's I finally found it.

In the album notes stands:
"Prince, killer jam session, (We Can Funk!), WOW!"

He also thanked Andre Cymone.

What album notes? YOu dont mention what album you saw this on. Jamming doesnt count as working with Prince enough to list it in your him to list it in his official press bio. If that is the case, all those fools that get onstage to dance during the concerts could say that they worked with Prince.

prince wanted Micki to come aboard and join paisley.micki can play the guitar.i think wanted to put micki in the coco boys and he was gona do a soundtrack and movie based on them.micki was a true prince clone.

He worked with him in the beginning. After his first album.

Ironically,when Vanity left the Prince camp in late 1983,she began dating Micki.At one point,there was a rumor that she would be joining Shalamar (Jody Watley had just departed for a solo career,and Howard and Micki begun holding auditions).
