Were Wendy & Lisa the first openly gay "big-time" musicians? I cannot remember if I heard anyone else to not hiding it. They did not broadcast it, but they did not hide it either. My mom used to manage the Residence Inn in Eden Prairie, MN when they stayed there. This was the summer of 1986 or 87. I cannot remember. Anyhow, you would see them every now and then holding hands. Very bold for the day.... "So strange that no one stayed at the end of the Parade..." - Wendy & Lisa's "Song About" on their 1987 self-titled album.

No they didn't. But like I said, they never hid it either. "So strange that no one stayed at the end of the Parade..." - Wendy & Lisa's "Song About" on their 1987 self-titled album.

No they didn't. But like I said, they never hid it either. Other than that questionable pose on the poster from the Purple Rain album, how did they NOT hide it? | |
