get the job at Paisley in the first place? It's not the type of place that you go in to and ask for an application. What was her major and everything in college? I know I read about it somewhere....

She supposedly majored in "art" in college. But how an art degree would help anyone get a job these days is beyond me. Obviously she was not hired based on experience or work history.

Hm it seems that no 1 knows 4 sure. And genes won't help U if U can't get in contact with P in the first place!

Of course this is all rumours, but I heard that her father is a big wig in the music business and he somehow got her the job at PP because she was such a big Prince fan. That's the word around Toronto.

basically i think all it is - was:

she was in the right place at the right time and took the oppurtinity and ran with it. who wouldn't anyway.

plus he liked her look obviously she held his interests. i think him and Mayte had a very natural split and Mani was there for him.

plus from my understanding they embarked on a spiritual journey together and when you do that... that is pretty deep bond. that is something so personal. they share perhaps the same interests. plus she takes cares of things that he may not have time for. i suppose it would be hard for someone like him to find someone who you know just does their thing like they are suppose to or what he is use to, you know he has his own ways about him.

she came in and worked for the 1800-new funk for awhile and just kept getting promotions, then she became the personal assistant and i think they just grew tighter and tighter.

he does look happier and is doing well so maybe that is all that matters.

i am not jumping on the Mani bandwagon for personal reasons. sometimes someone is not all they seem to be. but all in all he is doing his thing well and she seems to be doing her part so you know.....
