THE TIME'S PANDIMONIUM! ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS EVER!!!! The times 1990 album "Pandimonium" is easily the best time album and is one of my favourite albbums of all time!
Thank goodness Prince finially let some of the other time members co-write or write songs for that album, the time are a very talented bunch of people and for this reason of split up songwriting and productuion, the album is alot more varied than other time albums. If Iam correct Prince wrote "Donald trump (black version)" which is one of my favourite ballads ever! Really lovely sounding song. "Chocolate" is also another prince track that sounds alot older than the othe material but it's still a great song! The best tracks off the album are the first 3 (full) tracks! "Pandimonium" (the track itself), is a must-have party song, especially if u still love Newjack swing type of music. I love that track so much. I think that was a Jimmy jam and Terry Lewis track (possibally with Jesse johnson and prince) and I love all those guys as song writers and performers! "Jerk out" rules (remember the video and the huuuuugge limo they were all riding in?) and "Blondie" (a non prince collaberation) has possibally the greatest bridge in any song, and Jesse's guiter solo is one of the most fierce I've ever heard! "Sometimes I get lonely", is a suprisenly emotionallly sung ballad by Morris. The song should of been a single for sure and it would of been huge on late-night radio stations. That again is a Jimmy jam-terry Lewis song (maybe with Monte Moir and jesse) Every track on that album is a must for good fun funk and partying. This album really shows how much of a creative force the time could of been and it was a shame that they did not make anymore albums after this! The Prince penned songs are cool, as are Jimmy and terry's (with Jesse and Monte Moir). All are great songwriters. Even Morris is a good songwriter/producer, with his solo hit "Oak tree" being up their with "Jungle love" (in my opinion)! Shame Morris did not contribute any songwriting skills to the album, as he is more than capable of doing so (also remember solo track "Daydreaming"?) We also know Jesse can do the one man prince thing well too and even jellybean can produce (He has produced for New edition and later Mint condition.) Monte moir even wrote Janet jacksons "Pleasure principle",not jimmy and terry. PLEASE TIME, COME BACK! All the members were just too talented to stay together proberly, what with all the ego's and all, but they are easily a supergroup (like new edition) and "PANDIMONIUM" album is one of the best albums ever made!!!! It's good, but not as good as the first 3 albums. I still like it nevertheless.
"Chocolate" is the cut!!!!! NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Now I KNOW that's right! I've always had a special place in my heart for this record.
When I got to meet Morris at a show last summer, this is the album I brought for him to autograph. (Thus sealing the sacred power of this CD in forever) Pandemonium is sensational, hell of a record to listen to with all the windows down on a summer drive. It's like a virtual party. A lot of the songs have a MUCH higher energy level than anything on the first three Time albums. I mean, you can bob your head and move a little to the older songs, but songs like "Blondie" and "Skillet" just have a spontaneous energy that I've only experienced in one song on the first three albums ("My Drawers"). Don't get me wrong, I love everything The Time has done, you just can't deny the solid guitars and crisp production. It ain't over yet, though, my friend. Just hold out for sometime in 2004, and a new Time album will be upon us.

Understandable preference, but I could never stick to one "era". There are too many years between "The Time" and "Pandemonium" for me to strongly favor either one. I associate the older stuff with something to just relax to and bob my head, and Pandemonium as something a little more active and exciting.
Like I'll play the first two in my car for a few weeks, but then I'll get tired of the "old" Time and want something from their more lively, wacky side and do Pandemonium. I imagine you could go for the older stuff for a cool groove, and the new for a funkier, more modern sound. Plus there's chicken on the front cover - great source of protein.

The first two Time albums are essential.I could do without 'Pandemonium'.

PANDEMONIUM rules. Skillet, Jerk Out, Chocolate... great stuff. There really needs to be a good, double disc best of the Time so we can have Jerk Out, Jungle Love, 777-9311, etc. all in one place! Oh wait a minute, I already burned that or myself!!
Somebody slap me!!! Seriously all the Time records have some great tracks, some OK tracks, and at least 1 song I'm not in the mood for that day. Just like most records!! Gimme little bit o' the pepper!!

I don't know about best albums of all time but it is a very great album for sure. Kind of different from their previous albums, some shorter songs but still lots of long jams. It's a damn shame that it's out of print.

'Pandemonium' is an awesome album!, The Time's 1st album is awesome 2 and 'What Time Is It?' is brilliant. 'Ice Cream Castle' is great 2 but the standout tracks on it r 'Jungle Love', 'The Bird' and 'My Drawers'.
I'd say 'Pandemonium' is the Time's best album cuz they actually play all the instruments on it themselves whilst on The Time its basically a Prince CD!, with Morris's vocals!, but nonetheless its still an awesome album with all the tracks being awesome, my faves being 'Cool', 'Get It Up', 'The Stick' & 'Girl' All albums by The Time r great, but Pandemonium is IMO their best, check out the guitar solos by Jesse on 'Skillet' and 'Blondie' & u will see why! What Time Is It?????!!!!!
