Dez Dickerson book, worth getting?

I'm not really interested in what he did after leaving Prince, so is this book worth getting?

I agree with you. Maybe if he wound have wrote the book say twenty years ago when he left the group, it would have been more of a read, but to now write a book about life with prince and after prince doesn't really make me jump to go out and read this book. I personally don't cars about the last 15 to 18 years of his life and i'm definantely not going to buy a book about what his life was about after the prince years. I wish him the best but I won't be buying this book unless it goes on the 1.99 shelf.

the book strictly deals with when dez was still with prince, he doesn't mention anything about what he's done after leaving the fold and beyond that. i'd say get the book, it's a very interesting book to read. lotta fun, too.

Dez's book is a great read & well worth buying IMO. It talks about Dez's time with Prince and actually gives u a 1st hand account rather than books which r based upon facts/rumours. Dez was actual there with Prince and the stories in the book r real interesting and some r funny 2.

I recommend all Prince fans and fans of Dez too 2 check it out!

Handclaps, I think you sold me. I didn't want to buy the book and then find out that it dealt with his years after Prince. Thanks for the info.

I dug the book and I even read it all within a span of 30 hours. Really shows what it was like being at the beginning of Prince's career up until the mass hysteria of Purple Rain began.

Thanks for the recommendations guys.

I didn't mean to sound disrespectful to Dez when I said I wasn't interested in what he did after leaving Prince, I collect most related artists releases, I just meant in the context of buying this book, I was only really interested in the Prince chapters.

But I think you've sold me on it, so I'll be placing my order.

Thanks again. cool
