Hi, I like to know if anyone knows what are Wendy and Lisa's ethnic background? I like Wendy's last name of Melvoin. And also Lisa's mother have a very unique last name Ynda which makes me wonder is Lisa part Native American or Hispanic.

I am just curious.

Lisa's Samoan and Wendy is from Venus

4 some strange reason I was under the impression that they where both jewish. Melvoin and Colman Whatever they r there music kicks ass and I hope they don't leave us hangin

they are both jewish in heritage, wendy half. the name ynd is after a re-marriage i believe and cole's full name is nicole.

Now I know that Wendy's white and Jewish, I had research the last name Ynda and it is indeed a Spanish surname. So likely Lisa's mother is of Hispanic ancestry which makes Lisa white Hispanic. I am not saying she is, it just my best guess.

Still whatever the ladies' ethnicity is, they are one of the best musicans and composers around. I watched Soul Food yesterday (for the millionth time ) and I just thought my favorite music cues of them was Lisa's piano playing during the fire scene. That called talent and wet eyes right there.

By the way Lisa is my favorite of the two because she is so darn cute and plus she is like me: quiet, mysterious, and sweet. Plus I like how she is very creative on her website by adding video and music sample files (but homegirl please use a spell checker on your typing, okay? )

If she was just twenty years younger, I would ask her out.

Besides, as a person of black and Native American descent, I am always have interest in learning other people's cultures.

What's so intrusive about learning someone's hertiage? You acting as if I researching about their relationship history or something. I have many friends from different cultures with unique last names, and I don't see a damn thing wrong of learning more about other people's cultures.
