Has anyone here actually met Mani when she was a Prince fan ? How was she ? (just curiousity).

Deal with facts. For all anyones nows the women on his arm may just be
employees of Warner Brothers keeping tabs on the man.
Is he completely out of his contract and cut all ties with the company?
There was a clause in his contract that WB could pick all his personal assistants.
Remember that was Mani's first job at Paisley Park?

No one is perfect. Everyone has flaws. When people become famous, every aspect of them is on display and people gossip. That's part of show biz -- giving up a part of personal privacy.

Anyhoo, my theory is that one of Mayte's major flaws is that she is not very smart. She has never really been able to learn and grow as a person. She went right from her parents house and hooked up with Prince when she was a teenager. She stayed with him for years. He told her how to dress, how to wear her hair, and basically controlled her from her late teens to her mid-20s.

Mayte has a dependent personality, and she seeks relationships with independent men. From what I have observed, Mayte is a "clinging vine" needy person. She has the type of personality that is easily dominated by someone who has an independent personality. She went from having one older independent man, Prince, dominate her to another older independent man, Tommy Lee, who also dominated her.

Mayte enters into relationships with independent men who are happy with her dependence in the beginning. She's beautiful, sweet and eager to please. She tries to mold and conform herself to what the independent person wants. She does not have an identity of her own. She tries to become whatever the dominant person, i.e. Prince or Tommy, wants. Independent personalities will eventually grow bored with a dependent person. This is why I think Mayte ends up being treated like a doormat.

I think that Mayte would benefit from some counseling. I also think that with her personality, relationships with independent, domineering men should be avoided. I think Mayte would be better off with a man whose personality is more suited to hers. If two dependent personalities get together, they have each to depend on. It's not like in a relationship where you have a dependent person clinging to an independent person who wants to do his/her own thing. Two dependent people will cling to each other and depend on each other. But a dependent person in a relationship with an independent person is gonna get hurt....

Is it just me or does anyone else agree that Mani is so boring!!!!
She's just not as exciting as Mayte was, nor as good looking, im
not excited when i see her and Prince together. She looks like his
older sister or something!!! Shes not trendy either, I think shes
so conservative and shes rubbing off on Prince, making him wear
boring old clothes, I say bring back Mayte!!!! I'd bet every penny
i own that Prince still has feelings for her.

If Mani is obviously making him happy...WHO'S to stop him???

I have a question. Everyone who that nothing but good things to say about mani, is because she is married to prince. Because there was a time whenhe was with Mayte that everyine was saying how beautiful she was and how kind and happy she made prince. They gave mayte compliments even though on alot of sites the would say they did not understand why she was his dancer when her kind of dancing didn't fit his type of music, even I said it until I saw a part of one his concerts and sat down and saw her dance. So back to the question are you giving mani love because she is married to Prince? Another question to the people who doesn't like her, why is that, have you meet her or just don'y like the way she looks? I will admit the other women lok better than she does, but she is not ugly. I have asked this question before but really didn't get no answers, can anyone tell any thing about her no particular reason just being noisy.

The people who don't like Mani are the same ones who will never like ANY lady that Prince is with. It's human nature to envy and be jealous of somebody who has what you want and are never going to get.

Not everything can be attributed to jealousy. Not all the people who don't care for Mani are 'jealous' of her. That's a pretty sweeping statement to make. Some of us have no interest in "wanting" Prince or being in Mani's position.

Some people, like myself, base their opinion of Prince's women purely on more objective criteria.

and some folks' praise of Mani stems from being total FAMS to the end. They liked and praised Mayte when she was w/Prince, and now that she's history they think she's the devil and say nasty things. Mani's his current wife so they fawn and praise her and, if one day she's out the door like Mayte, they'll turn on Mani just as fast as they did Mayte and his *next* wife/woman will be praised as the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Seriously, if you're looking for "excitement" from another man's wife, you need a LIFE

it seems to escape a lot of people that both mayte and mani are little more and never less than what prince asks and or tells(told in mayte's case) them to be. prince is a complete obsessive and control-freak, albeit a milder version these days. there is a reason mani appears 'boring' and it the same reason that mayte always had her ass out- because that's what he wants. everything ever written about prince in his personal behavoir makes this clear, in addition to how many years of woman who are clones of one another physically and tempermentally, with little variation and a few blondes thrown in for good measure. and we know that the one's that have their own minds either leave on their own or their shown the door.

all of this to say that i find it interesting that we 'critique' these women at all. of course they're attractive, but neither of them could have much in the way of character or genuine personality or they wouldn't tolerate the whole svengali thing. also, it doesn't speak well of prince that he can't have any type of mature relationship- it's always 'be what i want or go away'. what tha hell is that for a 45yr old man? how mature has he really become to still behave that way?

Absolutely true. I am thoroughly convinced Prince wouldn't know what to do with a REAL woman, if he had one. He is far too controling to to have a successful/real relationship with anyone. Picking girls young enough to be his daughter(s) is further proof of his fear of real intimacy and normalicy in his personal relationships. A real woman, strong, independent with her own goals & life wouldn't be impressed with his bullshit. Kind of a sad state of affairs for P and the real obvious fear he has of anything but the shallowest of relationships.
