Don't know whether this has been discussed before, but what happend to Eric Leeds? He joined the NPG during the european leg of ONA and had a big influence on N.E.W.S. - but he isn't part of the current NPG. He just disappeared, or so it seems. How come, that even an unknown sax-player replaced Maceo on the Ellen show and not Eric? I don't get it . . .
By the way - why played Mike Scott the guitar on Ellen show and not Wendy? Maybe Prince's invitation for the Tavis performance was an attempt to persuade her to join the NPG for next tour . . . and she turned it down?

Mike Phillips isn't unknown - simply not associated as performing with Prince before this year.

Eric has been in and out of Prince's band for the last 20 years. He seems to have his own projects on the go, and perhaps doesn't like the idea of another world tour? But I'm sure we haven't seen the back of him.

Wendy: Who knows, but I'd say she'll work on Revolution related projects, while Mike on NPG stuff....

Eric has released 3 good albums since his time with Prince. He also has appeared on other recording projects with SHeila E and Paul Peterson. He has a life outside of backing Prince
