i'd like to hear some new music from larry graham... even though the last gcs cd was pretty bad, "got my groove on" and "eyemagettinit" are jams...

It happens to all musicians who work with Prince. Their his best friend one day, then like you said, *poof* their gone. The only artists that he still consistantly works with today that go back to '84 are Eric Leeds and Sheila E, but even they havn't been seen for a while... SERIOUSLY Larry performed on stage with him at one of the shows/aftershows just last month. Larry said he didn't want to be in the band anymore because of the travel schedule so he just makes occasional appearances. Kirk is out because John is a much better drummer. I believe he still has works and has an office at Paisley so it's not like they aren't friends anymore. | |

Prince said the following on this subject at the recent press conference:
Question from journalist: "Prince, can you tell us where Larry Graham is up to. Is he still in the band" Prince: "Larry has been sent to the Sahara desert on a fact-finding mission to count the grains of sand over there.
