Bill O'Reilly Matches $30,000 "O'Reilly Factor" Viewer Donation to Sheila E.’s
Lil' Angel Bunny Foundation

On Tuesday, February 17, LABF Co-Chair Sheila E. appeared on the Fox
News Channel show, "The O'Reilly Factor". She had been invited by
host Bill O'Reilly to discuss the Lil' Angel Bunny Foundation, which
helps abused and abandoned children through music and the arts. After
the show aired, a viewer emailed to donate $30,000 to the Foundation.
Bill O'Reilly then volunteered to match that amount out of his own
pocket. Sheila E. says, "I am overwhelmed by the generosity and
support from Bill and his viewing audience. This money will literally
save kids' lives. This is truly a blessing." In addition to the
$60,000, viewers have called and emailed to donate goods and
services, all of which helps with the critical work that Lil' Angel
Bunny Foundation does.

I would wager another $30,000 that those who call Bill O'Reilly "soulless" have no idea what they are talking about.

While O'Reilly is to the right of center, he's hardly what I would call a hardline "right-winger".

Even if he was, this wouldn't be any excuse to label him "soulless" or a "racist" as many have done here. When you do so, it makes you look pretty ignorant.

And funny how so many of you stand up against censorship until someone like O'Reilly takes the podium. We've seen it time and again -- pie in the face, shouting at a speaking engagement, not letting a guy talk, etc. Take a look in the mirror sometime, and start studying why people hold the beliefs they do. Peace.

Anyway, it's cool that he's brought Lil Angel Bunny some exposure. Hopefully more people will contribute.

I saw the segment the other night and I thought of how much older sheila looked but how much more beautiful she became to me as she went on. I was outraged at her story of being raped. It takes huge heart to reveal something like that, maybe that is why she does what she does. I've always heard wonderful things about sheila as a person. It's not often that we get talent and inner beauty rolled into one like that. The two seem to only sometimes correspond. If I had dough I would send her some now.

Sometimes i cannot help myself and i watch some of the opinion snippets on foxnews.com, just for laughs. Anyway, O'Reilly usually comes off as the least extremist of the bunch, not that that is saying much. And while he writes pretty good opinion pieces (i suppose he writes them), i often have the impression he is taking a stance that he doesn't really believe in himself, but thinks will do well with his audience.
Yet, he still is pretty rejectable, mainly bcause he appears to knowingly cover up extreme-right thinking with some fancy retorics and claims of objectivity. The other bigots at foxnews at least show their true colors.
And yes, he seems pretty honest or good-hearted from time to time, but he always stops short of saying something that may really go against his audience.
Oh, and he holds himself in waaaaay to high esteem. Or at least his show. I once saw him claim that Clark would never become the Democratic candidate bcause he refused to come to the show. Of course everybody knew by then Clark didn't stand a chance. 2 funny!
