So your argument/question is ridiculous and impossible to answer unless you A) were around Prince all the time back then and would know about *each and every* girlfriend he's ever had, both famous AND obscure; or B) are using extremely limited knowledge in which to argue your point.

Prince seems to most often go for the Vanity "type" of woman but he has dated women who didn't fit that mold...but as for how many there were over the years that didn't fit that Vanity look, or who did, and who exactly they all were - well, nobody with any grip on reality can really say with any authority because you do not have access to that information.

So again, your question is silly.

I am more grounded in reality and understand I am *not* privvy to all the information & knowledge necessary to make the crazy claims you are making. I also take into account that the facts are that by all indications - and by credible firsthand accounts - Prince was indeed very serious about Susannah (a NON-Vanity type)

I am also not deluded enough to think that **I** myself, a mere FAN, can speak for Prince or his heart, or for what he felt for the various women he's dated or had relationships with over the years enough to say who he was or wasn't "serious" about.

Do you actually, honestly think that YOU, a mere FAN, are fully informed and aware of each and every woman Prince has dated over the years and to what degree of seriousness each relationship was?

Where is your concrete evidence, as opposed to speculation, to prove that 'Adore' and 'Strange But True' were written about Vanity?

Soul Sanctuary was co written with Prince and Sandra St. Victor, okay? Adore was written for Vanity, A few months before Prince released Signs O the times LP, Vanity did an interview saying that she was happy Prince came into her life and that she knew that people would always ask her about him and that that was okay. She spoke of having an everlasting love for him. He released it as a way of showing the feeling was mutual. Adore had been a song that Prince had been saving and he chose to finish it up and release it at that time for Vanity.

A year or so after Adore came out Vanity sent Prince a
statue made of Pearls and jewels saying I LOVE YOU on it. She said it took her 2 years to make and that she put her heart and soul into it. That was her way of sending her love back to Prince.

Strange but True was Prince way of telling Vanity that she was the only one he gave his heart to. She's the one that has greatly influenced his life...In order to understand this you would have had to follow both of their careers closely. It's obvious to someone who has.

There's an interview that Prince did with Jet magazine a couple years after he married Mayte. In the interview he's talking about Vanity. Who at that time was married also. Why would he be talking about Vanity and not Mayte. In the interview Prince came across as really hurting in an emotional way. And why was he hurting in this emotional way? Because Vanity had married someone else. He even go so far in the interview as saying he thought he would marry Vanity. That was a heavy statement from someone private like Prince.
