This is bugging me.. Okay,I keep reading reports from the Family Jamm and how almost everybody performed various songs(The Family,Madhouse,The Time) but Jill Jones only did one song.
And I was thinking WHY? She flies in from New York just to perform one song, what sense does that make? I don't think its fair that The Family did almost the whole album, but Jill only gets to do one song. Maybe I'm being a wannabee conspiracy theorist here but did somebody who put this thing together not allow Jill to be able to do many songs or did she only want to do one song? BTW,I like The Family album but not as much as Jill's album. I DON'T WANT TO BE NORMAL,because normal is part of the status quo, which I don't want to be a part of- Tori Amos

well, it's not like she was the only one who got to do one song; The erm..."Time", Patti, Chaka, and Apollonia (thank god) only did one as well.
It's pretty much a given that Madhouse, The Revolution and Sheila's band would play more than one song, maybe whoever put the show together thought The Family was of the same importance as The Revolution and Sheila's band. I guess The Family getting together for the first time since 1985 was a bigger deal than Jill. Or maybe she simply just wanted to do one song, I'm also pretty sure that she wouldn't have flown all the way from New York not being satisfied with the way things were setup. And she only has good things to say about the family jamm, so it obviously didn't phase her that much. [This message was edited Fri Dec 26 23:36:13 PST 2003 by lovebizzare] ~KiKi

well, i talked to her after the show and she actually came off as the most jazzed out of the bunch...it didnt appear that she cared that she only did one song..

My friend and I got the change to speak with her at the Fam Jamm afterparty and asked her the same thing. She told us she just got 'squeezed' in somewhere in the organization of the event; the fact that she just sang 1 song didn't really bother her (although we had wanted her to do more songs off course), she enjoyed herself pretty much with just being there!!! I guess this means Jill has no hard feelings towards the whole event...Pretty classy of her, I think! PS.: My friend let her sign both his USA & Japanese pressings of his Jill Jones cd which REALLY amazed her...apparently she does not OWN her own cd, just a CDR copy... (?!?!?!?!) Sifi
