Jesse Johnson: What drum machine did he use?

I'm actually ripping old Janet Jackson LPs to MP3 and Jesse produced 2 songs on her 2nd album Dream Street, the cuts "Fast Girls" and "Pretty Boy."

While listening to them, I was noticing the drum machine. It sounded very Jesse/Minneapolis but I dont' think it's the Linn LM-1 (which is the signature Prince 1999/Purple Rain sound).

Anyone know what machine Jesse tended to use? I'm listeneing to Jesse Johnson's Revue now and again, sounds Linn-ish but don't think it is.

Anyone know?

I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere that Jesse bought some of Prince's older recording equipment when Jesse set up his home studio. Not sure if P parted with his Linn though...
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Actually they were dissing her 2 pre-Control albums... not many people even know about them. They are cheesy but they DO deserve to be preserved if only to show what Janet was like before she hooked up with Jam and Lewis!
