I am just flat out pissed at Prince right now (lol). That may sound ridiculous, but I hate being lied to!! Remember when he told us all that the name change to a symbol was for 'spiritual' reasons.. he wasn't that person any more? Bull-fucking-shit. Come to find out (much later) he did it to get out of a record contract. Then all that shit about annulling (sp?) the marriage.. he was just tryin to get out of it. I was there during Mayte's whole divorce and transition and I seen what she went through during her marriage. So what I am saying is not judgemental, it is what I seen and heard with my own eyes and ears. I only responded to this post because I don't appreciate people talking so down about bullshit they know nothing about. Mayte is a beautiful girl and a great friend, she is a sweet person who is sometimes too nice too people. - niko aleczander Hey Niko, as a matter of fact I do know Mayte pretty well so what I am talking about is pretty much the truth. What I am saying is factual, not point of view. I was there during Mayte's whole divorce and transition and I seen what she went through during her marriage. So what I am saying is not judgemental, it is what I seen and heard with my own eyes and ears. I only responded to this post because I don't appreciate people talking so down about bullshit they know nothing about. Mayte is a beautiful girl and a great friend, she is a sweet person who is sometimes too nice too people. But her time in NY really hardened her up thanks to my influence on her, so she don't take no shit from anybody anymore. So please stop putting all the blame on Mayte for the divorce, she never wanted to get divorced, she wanted to have a family and stay married, but Prince saw otherwise. WELL IF U PUT IT THAT WAY...

I always thought it was because of the horrible tragedy that experienced with the baby. The aftermath of it, that is. I remember it clearly, because my daughter was born the same day as their child was to. I felt really bad for them at the time. | |

But thanks to GOOD friends(ones that PRINCE kept her away from) she listened and got up the nerve to move to NY at the time and leave him. Prince was extremely cruel to her and treated her like a prisoner while he was out hittin it with every girl he came across, not too mention his excessive drinking at the time. If anything, you should give Mayte for credit for going out there and not even mentioning her Prince marriage to try to get places, she goes on auditions all the time out in LA not even mentioning her past, either with tommy or prince. Tommy was a really nice guy, who was extremely good too her who was just confused as to what he wanted, they are still close and hang out all the time. Manuella and Prince were messin around while Mayte was in Spain and she found out. So Mayte did nothing to the man, he was just a philandering runaround like his dad.
