Prince related experience...

guitar

My roommate has been working with his band on their sophmore album at Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles. Many Prince freaks may remember that "1999," some of "Purple Rain," and "Around the World in a Day" and some of "Parade," I belive, were recorded there.

Anywho...I've been hanging out at the studio completely fascinated with the process. The producer and the band kept talking about Suzi this and Suzi that. Who is this Suzi? So finally this past Saturday Suzi and a group of musicians show up and set up shop. It's a string section and I finally connected the dots. I'm introduced to Suzi Katayama and my roommate was like "Oh, yeah I forgot to mention that Suzi has worked with Prince."

So, I had a nice little chat with Suzi about her recording sessions with Prince. She said she recorded so much stuff that she believes are in his 'vault.' Also, she said that she would play basketball with Prince (heels and all) outside the studio.

Neat. Say hi to Craig Hubler from Jesse (from the Sound Factory)!
