Dez and the Purple Rain film Dez had left Prince because of his religious beliefs well by the time they started shooting Purple Rain. If he could no longer do the kind of stuff that Prince was doing muscally because of his faith, how coud he still do this movie?

At the time, Dez was pretty young as a Christian. I don't think he had problems with the movie so much as things he saw happening in and around Prince's life. Not that he was upset about Prince (was he?) -- He just knew that it wasn't good for him to be a Christian and continue doing some of the things he did when he was with Prince. If I can find one of his interviews about this, I'll post.

Well, his role in the movie was fairly limited. It's not as if he had to jack off a guitar while mouthing the words to "Sister" or anything...lol

The interview used to be on AMP, but can't find it now. I have a copy on video somewhere. When I come across it, I'll post it here.
