the "triple threat" tour? not me, i wuz a toddler at the time...  i have an 'all-access' laminated pass from that tour that i bought at a record show back in june.

I saw two shows on this tour which gives me a leg to stand on when I challenge these young punks who were not even born in 1982. I have been there for Prince from the first record | |

When I went to that show, I went to see the Time. When I left, I was even more impressed by them. I felt the same about Prince. The Time did rip it up on THAT tour. | |

Oh yeah! I was able to catch this show back in the day. It was near the end of the tour in early 1983. It was at the Oakland Arena in Oakland Ca.
We got lucky, this is when Prince was having issues with the Time and they didn't play some dates during this period, including the shows before this in LA. But fortunately the Time did play in Oakland. It was a very tight and mindblowing show. Vanity 6 were a nice warm-up and then the Time and Prince tore the stage up! | |
