I was watching the movie channel last weekend and an older movie called Green Card was coming on with Gerard Depardieu, and Andie MacDowell. The movie opened up with a young kid beating on buckets in the streets.


The movie came out in 1990 so John would have been 14 or 15, I think.

The kid's face and eyes looked just like John Blackwell.

Can anyone confirm this. The movie was too silly to watch it all the way to the credits.

If you are thinking of the same young boy banging on the plastic drums (no -- never saw the movie) maybe he might be one in the same with the teen banging on the plastic drum-can that appeared in one of those Mariah Carey videos a few years back.

That teen banging on the plastic drum-can was somewhat famous.

I used www.imdb.com (The best movie database site ever) and found that the drummer was someone named Larry Wright.
