Mavis Staples

After seeing her on the Prince documentary I am wondering if her two albums w/ Prince is worth getting,"Time Waits for No One" & "The Voice". Any thoughts ?

I prefer "The voice" but there's gems on both of them.

she has tracks on there that are certainly worth getting:

you must own songs like "come home", classic P song. and if you've heard P's original of "train" you may like how great she sounds on it.

others that i love: "you will be moved", "blood is thicker than time", "guess i'm crazy", if you can get the dance remixes of "jaguar", then you're in luck.

One day I had Time Waits For No One and Drama (chaka) on a loop.

Did you hear me say, "loop?"

They're surprisingly quite good. Great version of Positivity.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Time Waits For No One is worth it for the title track alone. Jaguar is another cool song off that album. Buy it.
