* SUNDAY AFTERNOON * Lately I've been listening to a lot of Candy Dulfer's music...from her debut album Saxuality, to Sax-A-Go-Go (featuring the Prince-penned "Sunday Afternoon"), to Big Girl...these are the albums I've heard and enjoyed.
I must confess that I am hooked on "Sunday Afternoon"...it's a lovely mood-setter...just RIGHT for a rainy...well, Sunday afternoon! The electric guitar near the end adds a lovely raw contrast to the sweetness of Candy's sax. I just can't get enough of it! Also, the album Big Girl boasts a handful of wonderful, smooth-jazz style songs. Candy's truly a magnificent player - and while I've not had the pleasure of seeing her live, I have watched a live performance on tape, and this lady is HOT! She plays with such soul...you can see why Prince was anxious to hook up with her. Does anybody else out there dig Candy's music? Any thoughts, feelings regarding them, her, etc.? Peace & Love. | |
