What Happened To Mike Scott? Does anyone know what happened to the last guitarist Prince used in his band (Mike Scott)? I haven't heard anything about him since the 2K DVD release.

He finally ran outta notes, just like Prince warned he would.

The same thing that happens to all of Prince's proteges/bandmembers after they work with him...
They disappear.Sad but true.

Prince's bandmembers are like Cher's wigs: once they show up in public they're being dumped and replaced by worse ones...

What kind of an idolworshipping, jibberistic statement is that? If that's the case, Prince has run out of notes YEARS ago as far as guitar solos go. Mike was wearin' his ass out onstage during his stint in the band. Just like ANY musician that shows Prince up, THEY HAVE TO GO. Ask Andre bout dat 1. Everybody knows Prince changes musicians like he changes clothes anyway. We all know what happened to Mikey; Prince wished him to the cornfield with the "others". LMAO!

What kind of an idolworshipping, jibberistic statement is that? It was neither. Aside from the obvious, you don't know which guitarists I revere. Chill. I happen to like Mike Scott's playing quite a bit. My original post was a joke. Prince once made a reference to the number of notes Mike let fly with during a jazz solo (possibly out of envy). Listen to the two guitarists' interplay on, say, "Red House" on the Rave DVD and you'll hear MS more than holding his own. He sounds better, tone-wise, than Prince. It's probably best to not accuse folks of drinking the purple Kool-Aid, especially if you don't know them.
