This album is stronger and much more focused than Wild Animal.The highlights for me are "Under The Influence" (her finest single,imo) and "Confidential".The songs are clever and well-written....less gimmicky than what we heard on the previous album.Vocally,I think Vanity sounds better too. | |

I was disappointed with the lack of promotion that this album received.There wasn’t even a video for the second single “Animals" and I never heard that song on the radio."Confidential" would have been an excellent third single.I think that Motown simply didn't know what to do with Vanity.She delivered a great album and they allowed it to flop.

In 1988 or so,Vanity began working on a third album titled Cherry Bomb and supposedly Prince was gonna be involved....contributing a few tracks.The project never materilaized. | |

I hope that album emerges one day. This release to me is a big deal, I had a terrible vinyl rip and it sounds so good. It's like hearing it for the first time. | |

I downloaded the mp3 from amazon.
