Always baffled me why Motown didnt make this the initial single. More radio friendly than "Pretty Mess". When it was finally released as a single, Motown pulled the plug on promoting it. I,too,wonder why Motown didn't promote this song aggressively.Unlike the other songs on her album,this one has elements of the Minneapolis sound.It also features Morris Day.who was also red-hot at the time.The song had all the makings of a big hit in 1984.
I heard that a video was filmed but was scrapped by Motown,which makes no sense. | |
