Also, the "Dance Mix" clocks at 7:01 on the record. I noticed David Leonard was the remix engineer on that, too. Dude was all over the place back then.

Cherry Red reissues are kind of hit and miss. Their expanded edition of En Vogue's "Born To Sing" in 2019 looked impressive but it was too loud in certain places. So much so that it was rather harsh on my ears at times. I didn't listen to the whole thing but I read others complain some of the remixes sounded like vinyl rips. Another company quickly issued an expanded 30th Anniversary edition soon after in 2020. Not sure if that one sounded better than Cherry Red's.

This double disc will be a welcome upgrade to this quiet low-bass 10 Best series of Greatest Hits I have had twenty-five years primarily for "Strut" and "Sugar Walls". It's the same copy on Spotify too.

The Sugar Walls "Roman" version includes a different (previously unreleased) section where Sheena talk/raps about her sugar walls. The liner notes incluses an interview with the album's producer, Greg Mathieson. He gives a different account of how the song "Sugar Walls" came into existence and his interation with Prince, Peggy Mac and David Leonard at Sunset Sound. His account sounds more credible to me than some of the other versions I've heard over the years.

To any Sheena Easton fan... There is a previously unreleased track included on disc 2 "Have You Ever Been In Love" from the A PRIVATE HEAVEN recording sessions that is really a great ballad. It is a cover of a track that was previously recorded by Leo Sayer in 1982. Sheena puts her unmistakable mark on her version making buying this remastered reissue worth it for this alone.

I hope they do something special with her 1988 album The Lover In Me.I think this is her finest album.Contains two excellent Prince songs and some really great jams from LA and Babyface in their prime.

Thats my fav of hers so far. Pretty much all tracks are ballads or quiet tunes and so it flows well. Title track does have a Prince quality and "Floating hearts" remains very under the radar and a great deep album cut, same with "Fire and Rain" from the following album.
