Rosie Gaines - Caring ('85)

I just recently discovered Rosie Gaine's 1985 album, "Caring".
I Really Enjoyed it.
I then looked at the credits and realized it has Don Cornelius as Arranger, Executive Producer as well as co-writter on several tunes.
He was also her manager and executive producer.
I'm like.. Don "SOUL TRAIN" Cornelius??? ..... YES!!!
To promote her album, I found out she appeared Twice on Soul Train.
Why are there no videos online of this?

Oct 5, 1985 (Season 15, Episode 1) Guests - Go West & Rosie Gaines - Rosie performed "Caring"

Mar 8, 1986 (Season 15 Episode 13) Guests - New Edition & Rosie Gaines- Rosie performed "Skool-ology"

I was amazed to find this album on vinyl in the early 90s. Didn't expect Rosie to have had a solo career before joining Prince. Later bought the reissue on cd. She is also on an album by bass player Curtis Ohlson, from 1987, who in return also played on Rosie's solo debut.

yeah I was surprised to learn that she released an album in 1985...long before her Prince days.

In addition to my previous reply... when I saw that LP cover, had to look twice if this was the same Rosie as the woman who was in Prince's band. Her look changed a lot between 1985 and the early 90s!

I saw the album cover a few years ago. She's damn near unrecognizable! So young. Amazing that what... five years later she'd be working with Prince.

I've not listened to the old music, but I will see what I can find.
