Rosie Gaines - Caring ('85) I just recently discovered Rosie Gaine's 1985 album, "Caring".

. I was amazed to find this album on vinyl in the early 90s. Didn't expect Rosie to have had a solo career before joining Prince. Later bought the reissue on cd. She is also on an album by bass player Curtis Ohlson, from 1987, who in return also played on Rosie's solo debut. .

yeah I was surprised to learn that she released an album in 1985...long before her Prince days.

. In addition to my previous reply... when I saw that LP cover, had to look twice if this was the same Rosie as the woman who was in Prince's band. Her look changed a lot between 1985 and the early 90s! .

I saw the album cover a few years ago. She's damn near unrecognizable! So young. Amazing that what... five years later she'd be working with Prince. " don’t really care so much what people say about me because it is a reflection of who they r."
