Watched this one a few nights ago.
What a bizarre movie
Cons-The acting was pretty bad
Pro's-Vanity is literally naked thought the entire film,beautiful scenery

This film is from 1980 so I believe it was made before she met Prince but I'm not sure.
Any of you seen it? Opinions welcome

I saw this a decade ago but I think it had a different name? Yes there is only one reason vanity got the part and it wasn't her acting here! The whole inter-species thing gave me the CREEPS! Rating, yuck! Vanity is so fresh here, I doubt the drugs had appeared yet although to agree to this movie.. Mmm.

Apollonia did a softcore film called "Amor ciego" plus Sandra buloock appeared in "fire on the Amazon" which I am sure she is not fond of her role or that film now days.

I've seen a good portion of it. Denise is breathtakingly beautiful. It is an odd movie. I don't know what her character saw in the man or the gorilla but I think it's interesting, perhaps from being known as the girl with the gorilla, she played off of it naming her album 'Wild Animal,' she wore a gorilla coat, upon seeing P's hairy chest she calls him King Kong which I think she references in one of her songs, maybe it was 'Animals'. I think Denise wanted the wildest image possible for Vanity to catch people's attention and hoped it would mature into more serious dramatic parts and eventually a more serious music career. Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be. She became disillusioned with always have to take off her top and after a while it was clear she had become typecasted, which only fueled her addiction. Maybe if she could have stayed clean things could have turned around for her but she had a hard life, horrific memories and images etched in her mind and heart that she couldn't deal with. I'm certain she had PTSD due to her abusive childhood. Through it all, she always came off as a happy, bright, loving spirit and her faith in God was apparent from the start.
I don't know if she quite knew how to reconcile her faith with her image. If God made sex it can't be wrong, she theorized. Later she learned not to lean on her own understanding and hung Vanity up in her closet like a beautiful coat that she once dazzled in but now was worn, torn and dirty.
