Joni Mitchell is not a Prince associate.

While I fully appreciate Joni's moves in the industry, and her legacy, listening to that demo was like nails on a chalkboard.

I think I never quite clicked with that Baez, Mitchell type folksy music. I was born in the late 60s, so I missed that era of music by the time I was old enough to appreciate anything in the same way.

I own Blue, but I don't really listen to it. I got it at a yard sale, and bought it for $1, solely because of "A Case of You."

I have listened to The Hissing of Summer Lawns. Once.

My two favorite Joni albums were always Court & Spark and Miles of Aisles, which I listened to years before I ever heard of Prince. Apparently, he liked listening to her also...

I can see why Prince liked her so much. She had incredible range and humor in her music. She also was a decent guitarist. Lyrically she is an interesting poet.
