Prince & The Revolution at the 1985 Oscars

He mentioned that ''Bobby Mark and Matthew couldn't be with us today''

Why was that ?

Or were Prince & The (whole) Revolution not invited ?

Or did Prince just brought two best friends along (and not Susannah?)
