Robin Power interview on youtube I would post the link, but I don't know how? (maybe one of you kind people can help me out there?) The video is titled "Sexy Mf, Model,Actress, Soul Train Dancer and Prince protege Robin Power spills the tea!" I'm just going to say it...I think she's full of shit! There were so many inconsistancies to her story! Like she said that she had went to some club during the Purple Rain era and that Prince was there and so was Vanity and Miko Weaver. From what I know, Vanity was already out of the picture and Miko wasn't even in the picture back then! Also that her and Prince were dating even after Grafitti Bridge. She seems like a sweet lady but none of it adds up! If anyone can shed some light on what she's telling I'd appreciate it. If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!

I've actually met Robin and she is very approachable and super sweet. We chatted quite a bit and she has some AMAZING stories.
By several accounts, Prince and Vanity were still seeing one another off and on after Purple Rain. Miko was in Sheila E's band at the time, so it's very probable that Miko was there as well. [Edited 3/8/21 13:51pm]

Miko was on the Purple Rain tour. Robin was in the Sexy MF video, filmed in March 1992. I can't speak for Vanity. TRUE BLUE

I was wondering what she was up to... Last I heard she and her man had moved to New Orleans... "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

I agree—she’s full of shit. Too many inconsistencies. Back in the day, when she used to post on here, she would private message people. I was one of them. All she wanted was for me to tell her my fantasies. She’s a psycho and I quit dealing with her. (I used a different org name back then.)

I haven't changed my org name since then, and I definitely remember that time because I was right up in the thick of it with y'all. I remember RP gravitated to/ vibed mostly with people who would reinforce her view of herself as sex goddess. She was the kind of woman that appeared to easily be won over if you complimented her music about having sex in her truck, or how sexy she was, and the more someone would gas her up over things like that, she appeared to revel in it, which was sad to me. What she had to contribute by way of talking about Prince was pretty one-dimensional, and I guess she faded away. Therre are only so many times and ways you can talk about what a sensual sexy lover a man is, and after a while that gets tired for music fans who aren't caught up in the fantasy.

She speaks and articulates far better than her post were here. I couldn't make heads or tails of most of it so rarely read any of it, but got the gist of the conversation. Her interviews are still based on their sex life but there are some nice humanizing qualities that come through which can be quite refreshing at times. Time keeps on slipping into the future...
