Funny how many people seemed to quit Prince's early bands for religious reasons.

Michael Bland says he struggled w/it as well.

Oh yeah? I did not know that one.

I heard him mention it when he was interviewd by Michael Dean. He gave the example of "Pussy Control". He said he looked around during a performance and saw that the first three rows were filled w/young women and felt bad about it.

Personally, I don't think "Pussy Control" is much of a problem if one understands the message.

I think it is camp but perhaps he thought the young women would take it literally, IDK.

I was at a Controversy gig in Virginia - right in fromt of the stage a few feet from Prince and Dez. I did see anything like that

Did you mean "didn´t see anything" or "did see something" ? Just asking.

I´m not saying that Mark is a liar but I doubt that people were literally having intercourse during concerts.

So cool that you got to see a Controvery concert.

Did you go to any 1999 and Purple Rain tour concerts as well?

I did mean didnt - no one was having sex at those shows. I saw 1999 tour twice: Norfolk Scope and Hampton Coliseum. I saw Purple Rain in Landover MD. These and the Controversy show (Zapp and The Time opened) at Hampton Coliseum were my first 4 Prince gigs

Song of female empowerment about a woman who goes to college and makes a ton of money instead of screwing around? I mean, if anything it's among Prince's more conservative songs!

Is it a coincidence that Kiss sounds like I Want To Break Free by Queen? It's shitty after someone passes to do shit like this. It's shitty when someone is alive to spill your guts to the press before addressing it with the person in question. I also think it's not a good look not to acknowledge someone's contribution small as it be. There are people who have gotten a credit by changing a word in the title of a song.

Prince evolved over time into a less competitive, 'fairer' person and those later bandmembers

reflect that. Mark Brown played w/the 'other' Prince.
