I am a newbie member, however not really new to the Forum. Just couldn't remember my password from many years ago.

I see there are many threads about Chris Dawson, the guy who used to own The Revolution record shop in Otley and produced The Crystal Ball fanzines.

I was just wondering if anyone had an update as to where he is or if you have seen him lately, albeit difficult during lockdown.

I think there are a few org. members who used to work with him and understand a lot more who are owed money from him.

I actually don't know the full ins and outs of what happened with him and the memberships and parties, only from the posts and threads I have read on here.

Does anyone have any contact with him, even a smidgen?

I just wondered if he still works as a carpenter or if he has any connection with the Record Fairs or online sales.

Most of the threads that mention Chris or Eileen on here are dated, nothing recent.

I know from the threads that a lot of people are not at all happy with the way he conducted business and I apologise that this thread might ruffle feathers again, it's not my intention.

If anyone has any info of his whereabouts, I'd really appreciate it.

There was a guy called Chris of about the right age/look in there when I went in a while back and I asked at the counter "Is that Chris Dawson?" and was met with a very firm look of disapproval. I don't know if the look meant that it was and I shouldn't ask, or that it wasn't and it was a rude question. Either way I didn't push it, paid for my baseball cap and left.
