Kim Berry says she’s re-writing her 1st book

And apparently working on a 2nd and 3rd book. I wonder how many people bought her first book. What I read about it was not very good. No way I was going to buy it when she lied on the cover saying she worked with Prince for 29 years.

She should take out the parts about his mother. Wether they're true or not, it's not her place to talk about this woman. It's his mother. Not hers. If he would've wanted us to know about her, he would've spilled the tea himself. That was the most insulting part.

And maybe, she shouldn't re-tell Mayte's story too, and she shouldn't talk about their son. She should actually start at square one again with the book.

I read it, but only because it leaked online. I would never buy it, or any of the others.

Kim Berry should not have been "writing" a book in the first place.

Timelines and family aside, my objection to Kim's book was that she basically released it unfinished. She talked about stories like going horseback riding on the continental divide, but then didn't tell them. I can't imagine why, but maybe she hyped the hell out of the book and was in way over her head. It's a shame, because I think if she stayed out of the controversial crap and stuck to her own story it could've been really interesting.

You can polish a turd, but it's still a turd.

Yeah, but she totally flushed our trust down the toilet. I'd be surprised if anyone would be interested in another book by her.

Very true. If I'd paid for that book the first time, I would've been pissed. Probably wouldn't bite a second time.

I would probably advise her not to bother. I've heard that her first one was bad enough, LOL.

In all honesty, who would want to read the bio of a rock stars hairdresser? To me, it seems like a whoooole lot of these proteges/associated artists take their time that they worked with Prince and milk it for all its worth. You would think that by working with him, they would've learned to keep pushing forward and aiming for bigger and better things and not dwelling on the past.

So far she talk. Taking another 6 months to do a rewrite for 1 book when she has spouted off about 2 more books. I wonder if this is some feeble form of hostage taking or extortion. That's what it's smelling like.
