Liv Warfield covers I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man

I like Liv but I do not like this arrangement. Don't really think it showcases her voice that well.

I like her voice and I like the band, this is a mellow little reinterpretation but keeping the same lyrics without changing the gender gives it a bit of a lesbian or at least bisexual vibe.

Not that there´s anything wrong with it if that´s what she´s going for and if so then it makes it even better but one of my pet peeves is when singers don´t change the sex of the protagonist according to the lyrics. wink For example, I really like Andy Allo´s version of We Can Funk ( Oui Can Funk) but the line "....boys like me.." is a bit distracting.

But I´m digressing here....sorry.

So...yes, I like this version but I agree with you that it´s not the right song to showcase her voice but I think maybe that wasn´t even the intention. It has a very mellow vibe to it that I like.

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Funny, one of my pet peeves is when singers DO change the sex of the protagonist.
