Question about 3 x 2 = 6 (3:45) B-side Edit

Of all of the officially-released Vanity 6 tracks, the only one I've never heard is the 3:45 edit of 3 x 2 = 6 that was only released on the Drive Me Wild and Bite the Beat singles. Is there anyone who's heard it who can describe any differences compared to the 5:24 album cut? I'd assume it's just a shortened version of the album cut, but then again the Drive Me Wild 2:20 single edit was cut from the re-recorded 7:08 Extended Version, not the album cut.

I'd love to track this edit down not just for completion's sake, but so I can make my own Vanity 6 playlist using the shortest version of my least favorite track on the album. lol

I cannot speak to your question, but "A working girl don't have to tolerate the mailman's tricks." is one of my all-time favorite Prince lines. That little motherfucker's mind never stopped turning - even on a bullhsit who-cares throwaway filler deep album cut.

No worries; I ended up ordering the Bite the Beat 45 off ebay, and it just arrived in the mail today; it'll be the first thing I listen to once I reclaim my living room from "work from home" this weekend!

I also love that line too, right along with "Vanity's my made-up name 'cuz a girl's best friend's her pride" cool
