Although Prince had and/or wanted nothing 2 do w/this Project, it is the one that represents ALL facets of the Group; individually & collectively! It is a TREAT!!! Although I was fortunate 2 see Them live (11/5/2011 @ State Theater in Minneapolis), I wish there would have been a Nationwide Tour behind it. Apparently there was issues about Touring, which had Jesse 2 depart, Record & Tour w/D'Angelo & The Vanguard
I saw The Original 7ven live at Club Nokia on Oct. 19th 2011. The reason they broke up is because Jesse(whom wasn't happy with the project) got tired of waiting for them to tour and accepted D'angelo's offer to tour with him. So he bailed on them. They were going to replace him with another guitarist, but the project fell apart.
Then Jesse went public and aired out his grievances against them.
"That mountain top situation is not really what it's all cracked up 2 B when was doing the Purple Rain tour had a lot of people who knew 'll never c again @ the concerts.just screamin n places they thought they was suppose 2 scream." |

Yep! Besides the several times I've seen Jesse live over the years. I saw him also as the guitarist for D’Angelo and the Vanguard @ again Club Nokia in Los Angeles on June 8th,2015.
To be a fly on the wall in their private conversations. "That mountain top situation is not really what it's all cracked up 2 B when was doing the Purple Rain tour had a lot of people who knew 'll never c again @ the concerts.just screamin n places they thought they was suppose 2 scream." |
