Does Sheila get along with the Revolution members? Or is there some bad blood in that relationship?

Facebook I've been reading with interest the "conversations" regarding my dear friends Sheila E. and LeRoy Bennett and their baking of Prince's favorite desert, lemon cake. It's little known that ALL of us were required, back in the day, to be able to make this confection for him. Page 13, paragraph four, subsection 2B of my employment agreement with PRN, from the late 80's, reads " Pursuant to this agreement, the party known as the Employee, shall be required to be familiar with the recipe for the confection known as lemon cake, and be able to make such cake at the request of the party known as the Employer
(i.e. Prince Rogers Nelson)." Prince asked me only once to make the lemon cake for him. By happenstance it was the week of Passover, either 1987 or 88, if I remember. So I decided it might be nice to have the cakes blessed by a rabbi for the occasion, after which I proudly presented Prince with my Lemon Kosher Cakes. As it turns out, he liked them so much that for awhile, he actually considered converting to Judaism. As a result, somewhere in the infamous "vault" is a remake of his famous song "The Cross" (from Sign O' The Times) with somewhat altered lyrics and re-titled ...... "The Nosh"......... Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! REAL MUSIC by REAL MUSICIANS - Prince "I kind of wish there was a reason for Prince to make the site crash more" ~~ Ben |

Finally this makes some sense--if Apollonia is basically saying that Prince had written a song called Lemon Cake, that was unreleased but well known among his bandmates and inner circle, because it was about Roy Bennett (Brenda Bennett's husband and Prince's lighting designer) making Lemon Cake that Prince famously loved. If this is true and then Sheila suddenly comes out with this song and story, then I can TOTALLY see why Apples lashed out and why others are siding with her. Of course her credibility goes to hell when she mentioned Prince was "killed". (Unless she's being clever like Prince was in Annie Christian and personifying evil. Bit of a stretch)

Have Wendy and Lisa stayed above the fray? It doesn't seem like they've said a ton or tried to stay in the Prince glow since he passed - at least after intial period right after his death when everyone was sharing memories and paying tribute. [Edited 4/17/20 16:55pm] Honestly I heard Prince HATED lemon cake and only pretended to like it not to hurt their feelings, then would spit it out into one of those airplane barf bags that he always carried around with him (custom made in purple) the moment they weren't looking. What Prince really enjoyed was 7up cake [Edited 4/20/20 4:51am]

Like I said this brought more attention to Shelia than anything not that this is some sort of hit single or has a chance of being played on anything but I am sure once a tmz outlet or something like that picks this nonsense up it's going to get some streams it wouldn't have, but honestly the general public has no clue who any of these people are and that's not exaggerating who knows who Shelia or Apollonia are and forget about Brenda and leeroy and Jill etc.... I keep flashing back to Sheila's Family Jamm reunion concert with most of the associates in attendance. All seemed to be happy in eachother's presence, many years after their heyday of performing together.
