Susannah got the 6 carat ring, planned and lived in the Galpin house with Prince, and has now revealed they continued to see each other for years after she moved back to LA. He may not have been ready to settle down then, but there is no doubt he loved Susannah for years.

She was EMPHATIC about the fact that Prince never proposed to Sheila during the SOTT tour. Also, Susannah stated Prince was flying her all over Europe to stay with him during that tour.

Susannah is wearing the big ring during the '85 First Ave show and I believe she also has it on in the Anotherloverholeinyohead video. It was huge.

Actually, Judas is 100% correct. Susannah left MN not long after The Revolution broke up. Prince moved out to his rental and spent two months trying to convince Susannah to go back to MN with him. Then, he was flying her over to Europe to be with him during the SOTT tour. So, nah, he never "called off" the engagement. She left. Then he went chasing after her iin CA.

Kotero has stated in the press many times before that she and Prince did NOT have anything more than a friendship/working relationship and that she was married during PR

If you look at Prince and Wendy singing Reflections on Travis Smiley show, it is obvious she adores him. They are so in sync through out the performance.

Right, to give context to people who didn't listen to the interview....the whole point of Cat's rant is to suggest there was no ring, Prince was with Sheila for show similar to how she was during the SOTT stage show, and that a lot of people Prince was just having sex with now pretend they were in relationships...which is what she's sayin with Sheila, that he just humped her....

...she named the few people she knew had the right to say they were in relationships with Prince, including Ingrid (who some people have questions about) and...Apples. Womp womp.


Even if there was a "relationship" there, it's hard not to chalk that up as showbiz too. There's more evidence Sheila had something ongoing romance.

When did he have the time for all these women, and the crazy schedule? Even if he was in some open relationship with Sheila, it's hard to get the sense he knew what a relationship was then.

Ya'll tripping. Gimme a sec. Lemme go find where SUSAN ROGERS talked about how Prince called and told Susannah that he didn't wanna be in a committed relationship with her no more and told her she had to leave his house because he didn't wanna be in a committed relationship with anyone. Then moved her out to a rented apartment where he continued to see her on HIS TERMS, until she got fed up and left.

This is old news. It's on page 196 in DMSR (pdf). Told by Susan Rogers. So what if he continued to mess around with her for a while longer? He did that with a few of the other ladies he dated back then. He'd already told her he didn't wanna be in a committed relationship, calling off the engagement. That's on her if she wanted to continue to let him play her. Why would she still continue to see him after he moved her out and told her he didn't wanna be in a committed relationship?

When he went out to LA to allegedly chase after her for two months, did he try to win her back by telling her he was ready to get married now so she should come back to MN with him??? Hell no. No marriage happened. As you pointed out, he just continued to see her on his terms until it fizzled without having to commit and marry her. Bottom line, dude didn't wanna marry her.
