Hurry before she takes it down. It's crazy. I met Sheila E. twice through work since Prince passed. She was so nice and down to Earth. I hate to believe all this but it's hard not to see it.

I saw it too!!

When Sheila E was in the Seattle area last Year, I got to sing on the Mic w/Her at Her Show. She also did a James Brown Medley, and i put My Jacket on Her like They did the Cape 4 JB. She also snatched My Purple Fedora. I also received a hug & an autographed Drum Head from Her. I'm SHOCKED!! But i don't know the ins & outs of that, so Er-ah............

I literally just came in the Org to see if anyone else saw it and talked about it.

And again my favorite part and where I really stopped caring about the FB post was "he was murdered" then I'm like oh brother here we go again. Sorry but I am so sick of the females from this era, I'm done with them all, Shelia, Jill, Apollonia, Susanna also a little too, but all the fights come from them and this era, and I'm so tired of it. I'm tired of Prince loved me more etc...but guess what regardless of love and who he loved more, he married neither.

Apppolonia was a big part of the Purple Rain experience. But, she was Vanity's replacement and no one is accusing her of being a great actress, singer or musician. Say what you want about Sheila, but she is an extremely talented artist that is respected in the industry beyond her association with Prince and has done things outside of 1984. This is some petty jealous nonsense and a shame that we are talking about this during a week where we should be celebrating Prince.

Sober Apples is going to wake up this morning and hit delete.

It is beyond words that she outed Sheila's sexuality on social media, and tried to make it appear that P endorsed this outing.

My issue also again is the in fighting among a certain era and always females you notice. So I get what they are all saying, but I often wonder what is what. Next my problem with Apollonias state,ent has nothing to do with Shelia I could care less about Shelia, but this nonsense of you tossing out the term "murdered" and then being mad at Shelia for not telling the revolution how he died. 99% of princes people knew he was taking something, saw a difference in his eyes his actions his weight his looks and knew something was wrong with him, why didn't Apollonia notice this or Shelia notice this I have not once heard any of the women involved mention anything but being close to prince and yet NONE noticed a change in him? I look at his photos from 2016 and then photos from 2014 and can tell this guy is sick on something or dieing, how come they didn't see it instead of talking nonsense of murder? Really murder? Her rant lost cred right there.

They always try to stir the drama up around his death day.

The ONLY thing I will say is that I recently saw Sheila in concert. She was good! BUT she did do a LOT of Prince songs. Not just the ones he wrote for her. HIS songs that we all know. Was just a bit strange. I'd rather hear her do HER songs.

The part highlighted in what you said about being sick and done with Apollonia, Sheila, Jill Jones, Susannah Melvoin (and I would throw in Mayte) is exactly how I feel. These women don't give a crap about Prince or any of the fans. Their ultimate goal is to try to shine through Prince death, saying and doing anything to big themselves up to act like Prince loved them the most, and in the end making them more MONEY. But with Mayte she was married to him had one child and also had a miscarriage too, and covered him in his lies and stayed silent for a long time, she could have easily written a book in 2000. None of these women were married to him I get they were close and dated and probably slept with him and some claim they were going to be married to him but mayte was as was Manuela, who also by the way didn't write a book but for some reason has bonded with Mayte and no one from the early days. The trouble is all in that era, I mean when I have ever heard Andy Allo talk trash about Judith Hill or vice versa, I mean it's petty.

Everyone has their own opinion, but I beg to differ on the Mayte tip. I don't care if she was married to him or not. They weren't together when he died. He divorced her some twenty-something years ago and moved way on, even marrying someone else, but she quickly came out of hiding to put out a tell all book the minute his body was in the ground, making uber money from his death off his fans. The book came out around the anniversary of his death. I don't think that was a coincidence. Which is why I threw her in the mix with all the other ones I mentioned. She's definitely one of them for me.

I can agree with that but a lot of people wrote books, Morris day wrote a book and we may have thought his stories were humorous but making Morris fly out and rehearse and then say oh no we ain't gonna play and then not pay the man for his expense of traveling isn't actually funny it makes him seem more like a prick of person , so in ways those are also tell all books it's not the insights to a marriage but to me it's the same thing, personal story is a personal story, and everyone was really quick to share, I mean I recently heard some stories about prince from Paul Peterson and I was amazed at the nonsense prince pulled with people, and the argument was always "you are nothing without me" the early days and the women in his life has been going on for a bit but all exploded after he died when all of a sudden he loved them all more than the other

Sheila is the only one who even APPROACHED Prince's level of musicianship/stage presence, etc. which is why he continued to choose her to stand next to him and perform time and time again, years after the 80's (NAACP, ALMA awards, etc. )

Of course she was not AT his level, but she comes the closest. Technically, Andre or Jesse could play more of the basic instruments, but no one could match P onstage like Sheila could.

To this day, her versions of Prince songs live are the only ones that have that energy (exhibit A: The BET Tribute).

And as someone who has supported Sheila's charity, she never said she was building schools, she's been donating to existing music programs in schools that already exist.

I was at the Family Jamm and let Patty's boyfriend at the time (who was hot!) sit in my front row seat to take pics of her while she did Take Me With U (which sucked btw) but she wasn't very friendly to me.

Have Wendy and Lisa stayed above the fray? It doesn't seem like they've said a ton or tried to stay in the Prince glow since he passed - at least after intial period right after his death when everyone was sharing memories and paying tribute.
