BrownMark: "moisture in Paisley’s basement destroyed one of the Alembic Bass guitars I played" Today BrownMark posted this grainy photo from the Purple Rain Tour on Instagram https://www.instagram.com...T2D61lIY0/ . Which isn't newsworthy. But then one commenter asked him: "Do you still have that Alembic Bass?" And BrownMark replied: "Well, I had 2 of them. I have one and Paisley Park has the other one. It’s in unrepairable shape however. The moisture in Paisley’s basement destroyed it." © Bart Van Hemelen

That's the one he plays in the Raspberry Beret video too
Wow, sad, that the past was cared for so carelessly
I'm very interested in the instruments from those late 70s -80s period Definately news.

Reading this makes me glad that the vault's contents are now handled by Iron Mountain. It was a tragic move, but clearly the conditions at Paisley Park aren't suitable for long-term item storage. Prince: 1958-infinity. Thank U for everything.
