Andy Allo on stage.it

Andy Allo did a live performance on stage.it yesterday, doing songs from her UnFresh disc. She is doing two more. Next week is focused on Superconductor. It kind of sucked technically because of her internet connection yesterday. Hopefully she will have a more reliable connection next Saturday. It's only like $3.50 (suggested) to see her. She is doing her free Facebook live braodcasts again on Mondays as well. With limited options to see live music in-person, I hope more artists and groups consider doing shows on platforms like stage.it to give us a chance to see them live.

And now, more than ever, is the right time for musical artist to take this route!

That was fun and the connection was much better. Next week will be songs from Hello and We Can Love.

poor quality connection again today. Thank God she is switching from Stage It to another platform. However she did a couple tracks with prerecorded Prince on guitar. She had to switch over to Facbeook live to finish the show... She brought herself to tears talking about Prince.

Yes, watched today. She became really tearful after she playing "More Than This". She shared a sweet story on Facebook of how P wrote her a note that said "more than this...there is nothing more". Andy shared that followng receipt of the note, she was inspired to write Nothing More for and about Prince. She noted that P was like "you know those are lyrics from a song, right?" I thought that was cute. She said, "I thought he was trying to be romantic" lol. You can tell there's a lot there still. Also, on the FB stream, she shared about not being asked to do tributes, and stated that she was fine with this essentially because she doesn't always agree with them. Said she wants to honor him in her own way.

Today's was fun too. She did a noon show that was more personal and is doing a more mainstream show at 4 on Stage It that should be interesting too. She is talking about selling off some of her clothing from the Welcome to Europe tour in the near future.

I like Andy and her music and am grateful for how much she gives of it. However it is very obvious that she’s looking for attention when telling these stories about Prince. Yeah, she’s still using him. Anyone who can’t see that is blind. Also if she is going to “lead her own revolution”, in these very selfish times, why is her message about getting stuff, like billboards, her “name up in lights”, etc.? That is NOT going to help this society OR her generation. Lord. I do feel however that as she gets older she may and could have a very different message - IF she looks for it. I mostly like her because she doesn’t hurt anyone. She’s got a ton of potential to help people. [Edited 4/21/20 7:39am]

sorry but that's not fair at all. First a lot of her fans and those tuning in like her because of Prince that is where they knew her from, also she has not been telling stories like this a lot she doesn't have books out or does she do a "Prince" set in her live shows like others do, and honestly she could because she did a lot of recording and work with Prince some that will never be heard and more than even people from his heyday did with him. I am glad she shared some of those stories because I like to hear them, just like I like to hear them from Morris Hayes etc...I get more from Andy than I get from nonsense being spewed by his purple Rain era alumni, Lemon Cake?are u serious ? As for Andy the actress she has been at it a long time just as long as music, so cut her some slack on wow I'm on a billboard, she knows what is going on in the world, but reality is we have to find something positive if it's all about sickness we are going to be in this for years, we got to get out of this mindset of disaster, trust me we don't even know what disaster is like in America, 42,000 dead from a virus is horrific but if we were watching the daily body count on everything in our country, guns, suicides, flu, obesity, diabetes we might start finding our own paths.

Andy has kept a pretty low profile in general, and is doing shows on Stage It and does them for "pay what you can". She does Facebook Live on Mondays as well. These shows tend to have her family watching as much as others. Nothing More is the reason I started listening to her, but that isn't why I keep tuning in. Her Prince stories are a bonus from my point of view. I believe Liv Warfield is similar. Both honor Prince and their love for him. But they are doing their own thing.
