I mean, g'wan ahead and do you. Makes sense, really, considering Prince never said boo about dating any of these women. And frankly, none of these women come out and say "oh yeah of course we dated" anymore either. Check what Andy and Judith have said - noncommittal vagueness. Prince claimed no women after Mani and that's a fact.

nod Agreed. That's not what some of them want you to think though lol

Welcome to "the org", Mumio…they can have you, but I'll have your love in the end nod

In the 2010 Ebony magazine interview/ cover story, he introduced Bria as his "girlfriend".

There is only one person: Denise Matthews/Vanity

The only potential challenger to her throne was Judith Hill. And Judith like Rocky Balboa had virtually no chance. But also like Rocky Balboa she went the distance and did everything a person could to make him forget. She even pulled him back from the brink of death for a second chance but he didn't take it.

See Judith Hill's video for Back In Time. This is Prince's last video. Listen to the words.

Lyrics: ‘If I had some magic, I could set you free. I’d make you not love her anymore as much as you love me’ and ‘If I had the power to travel back in time to the day the both the two of you met and somehow make you mine.’ The words say why Prince left Judith. Denise Matthews/Vanity got there first and he can’t forget her. But Judith unlike any of the seat fillers got to equal love.

Imagery: Prince is responsible for the imagery. I believe Prince has seen Judith as a perfected Vanity on one hand and an anti-Vanity on the other. He has learned the lessons of Vanity/Denise Matthews. Prince is setting Judith free, washing the Vanity, in his mind, taint from her giving her to the world. This is Judith's goodbye letter (yes, Prince's death was a suicide). He is saying even though he is no longer with Judith physically he is still with her spiritually.

All others in between were seat fillers, like at awards shows.

Another Love and Da Boug are about Denise/Vanity.

He wrote songs about Judith on Hit & Run Phase One like Hard Rock Lover. However Denise/Vanity was still in the mix with dis songs like Xs Face.

Anyone who believe Prince was not writing songs about his life need to go back to the first song on his first album and read the lyrics.

Also they must see interviews were he said the following:

Prince was interviewed on December 10, 2010 on NYC radio station 107.5. He stated: “The music pretty much speaks for me. I’m pretty open with my music, I always have been, so you’re going to know more about me through that, than me sitting down and talking.” He says this same thing to Matt Lauer in an interview on the Today show around the time he was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. “I’m not so mysterious. I’m a pretty open book. People who know my music, I would say, know me.”

How you should be looking at Prince songs: (And I know this will upset some people) It is about Denise/Vanity unless you can definitely rule out that it isn't.

Any chance you could start a blog where you go song-by-song explaining why each song is about Vanity? Hell i'd read it.

Where's your evidence that The Breakdown is autobiographical? "First one intoxicated, last one to leave" sounds like him to you, does it?

Live performance is entirely different subject.

Yes, however, I'm writing a book about it. Mainly concentrating on videos but some songs without video. Maybe I can do a blog for songs not in the book. Writing is gruelling and Prince isn't the only one writing about Vanity.

Prince's First Song On His First Record

For You

All of this and more is for you
With love, sincerity and deepest care
MY LIFE WITH YOU I SHARE

All Prince songs are autobiographical.

However, you are right about the lyrics you reference to The Breakdown if taken a party where intoxicating liquors and drugs are served to the revealers.
However, what if the "the party" is something else and intoxication is not by drugs or alcohol?

What if the party is life, or life as a musician or rock star. What if intoxication is the intoxication of being a rock star or love of a woman or anything other than drugs.

Is the New Year's party reference in the lyrics a reference to the song 1999.

Think deeper. Prince is trying to tell you something about his life. Maybe it's not easily understood but it is about his life.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but all these songs are about Vanity, despite what people believe otherwise.

I know Jill Jones thinks "She's Always In My Hair" is about her but it's not. Even if Prince never corrected her misconception. Jill reminds me in many ways of the Terri Garr character in Toosie - Sandy.

Don't apologize for me, I don't need it. I'm fully aware that this seems unbelievable but it's true reguardless if you believe it or not. I realize it may take years before people accept this and many Prince fans never will. I can fight my own battles.

What is shocking is that no one figured it out before me.

Of course, those around Prince don't want you to know this for some even more shocking reasons. Wait until you find out the other person who wrote almost exclusively about Denise/Vanity. You might have a really hard time with that one.

LOL! This is a song of encoragement to Vanity. "You're filthy cute and baby you know it" Who do you think that is? It's Vanity. He's talking to Vanity in this song. Her career wasn't going that well at the time he wrote it (and he gets a hit out of it. LOL!). There's more to this but this is all I can give you at this time.

But nothing supports either notion.

Speculation is one thing (whether it's with his dick or his drugs, it's favorite passtime of this site), but to state things as 100% pure irrefutable fact gets iffy.

Most Beautiful Girl in the World was most likely written about Mayte, and originally intended for a project with Nona Gaye. Le Grind...Black Sweat...Housequake? What could be about Vanity there?

God? Is about Vanity?

Soft and Wet?... it's recorded in 1977 three whole years before he even meets Vanity.

I'm writing a book that gives more details. I found the Rosetta Stone that unlocks Prince.

It is my Opinion, as I am not Prince, but I believe I'm on solid ground. You'll have to wait for my bookd for the details.

As I said some are retroactive or a clarion call for Vanity. Prince didn't write the lyrics to Soft & Wet so how can he include it in legacy? Well think about it?

Black Sweat - You'll have to wait on this one. All I can say U is Vanity.

God - U is Vanity

Le Grind - U is Vanity

Housequake - U is Vanity - was supposed to be on the Camille album. Camille is connected to Vanity.

U Got The Look - U is Vanity not stand in Shena Easton.

Also, All Prince movies are about Vanity.

Sorry I can't be more informative at this time. I don't want to give it all away.

It's a LARP apparently or creative writing fan fiction at best.

The "U" in those songs isn't about the "U" anyway. Housequake is a party rocker, the "U" is clearly the party/audience/listener, etc.

You might as well say it was about Latoya Jackson.

Chris Moon was co-writer for Soft and Wet.

You can't connect that song to being "about" Vanity. 3 years in the future isn't "retroactive". A fan retroactively wishing something happened doesn't count. But go on...I challenge you.

Soft and Wet... go.

Wow. What a statement! So you admit illegal activity? Well, I know where to look first.

I'm not doing it for money. It's a story that needs to be told for posterity.

And I think that Prince wanted the story told. That is part of what his autobiography was about, before, in my opinion only, it was "taken care of". That is - paper shredding and computer files deleted and Shelia E stateing to Access Hollywood that day after death: 'we pretty much know what's going on' and saying why people love him is because of his music not because of his 'personal life'. The thing wrong with that statement is Prince's music and 'personal life' are one in the same thing.

There is only one person: Denise Matthews/Vanity

The only potential challenger to her throne was Judith Hill.

Please don’t.
You could not be more mistaken.
Prince and Andy Allo attended a poetry reading that one of the posters here was at. The poster worked at the poetry house. The poster said to Prince, “Your music is the soundtrack to my life!” Prince responded, “Mine too.”

Prince’s music was about his life.

You must be new to Prince’s music and his life. Because we’ve all known for years who these songs are about. Many different people throughout Prince’s very well-lived life.

And if you think for one red hot second that a man like Prince Rogers Nelson only had one woman on his mind since 1981, then you must be projecting something of your own personal stuff onto him.

Which people did regularly. And he knew it. He just let people believe what they wanted.

Prince grew and changed and went through all kinds of phases during his life. This included different love interests that were there during whatever time.

Could you imagine still writing creatively all your songs about your GF/BF from the EIGHTIES? Please! It’s not even conceivable. Particularly not for a man like Prince. He moved ahead. All the time. That’s what living is!

He still cares about his former protégés though. Very much.

There were numerous threads a while back here detailing much, much proof of Prince’s obsession/friendship/sexual interest in Andy Allo.

My thought? She got over on him. And that broke his ego. And landed him in pain. And yes, I have heard he was with other women which got her angry. He didn’t mean anything by it, it’s just what he did. There might’ve been arguments about her music and independence too. And maybe religion. Who knows? Or maybe she outgrew wanting to stay at PP and with him. She was very young after all.

And yes. He was single the last year or so. And I don’t think happy. It might’ve been that thing about not getting what you think you want, and also getting older. Getting older is very hard for some people. He pined for the “good old days”, he told Judith and she said he was depressed. The “good old days” might have included his last “exciting” and fun relationship of “youth”. He loved flirting too smile

Also the older you get, the harder these breakups are. When people leave.

I think they flirted or played games a lot on social media.

I know it is all forgiven now, whatever happened.

As a side note: take a lesson from Andy, who took it from Prince. She has stayed out of the drama and on her own. She is very vocal about her life but has stayed mostly out of controversy. It’s called boundaries. Prince taught his female protégés that. He wasn’t just musically mentoring them. He was spiritually mentoring them. He was helping them heal their scars. Teaching them to be present.

Prince had many love interests in his life.

Soft and Wet... go.

You're getting warm! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I say retroactive, I mean Prince applies those songs that he wrote before Vanity retroactively to Vanity. When I say clarion call, Prince in his music before Vanity, was asking the universe for Vanity. And he got his Vanity. Oh boy did he!

Just in the same way as the reason for this posting, 'Another Love'. This song was reworked by Prince after he finally came to the conclusion it wasn't ever going to happen with Vanity. He is saying he needs to find "Another Love". This is a clarion call to the universe for Another Love. Who entered his life shortly after this song? Judith Hill.

If you understand who Judith Hill is you would know Prince got his 'Another Love'. If God put Prince to sleep and took out one of his ribs and made a woman to help him forget Vanity, God would have made Judith Hill. Maybe God partially did make Judith Hill for that reason.

Judith got to equal status with Denise/Vanity but she could not erase his memories of Vanity. That is what Judith Hill's video co-created with Prince "Back In Time" is about. He loved Judith equal to Vanity but memories of Vanity could not be erased.

Call it fan fiction if you want, but I think you are very wrong.

Uh Oh, another Andy Allo supporter!!!

Prince did a Rolling Stone interview published in Jan 2014 in which he said he was celebate. This was during the time he was with Andy Allo.

Andy Allo keeping quiet, staying out of the CONTROVERSY: noble or cowardice?

Yes, she was a protege. And Prince wants you to support her music. But as far as Prince's love life, she is more like one of the ladies deck out in gold in his video for Violet The Organ Grinder. LOL!!!!! You won't understand that so you have to wait for LoveGalore to illegally download my book!!!!!!!

She knows! (In my opinion) And she didn't say anything. She wanted to be Vanity and ended up being Shelia E, in my opinion only of course!!!!

Ehhh, you lost me there. Some of them were certainly reactive in the next relationships they chose (and some talked about it) but what's been documented sounds more like they got independence from a controlling partner. Prince cutting people off isn't mentoring. He was hot and cold.

Mayte actually talks about needing a co-dependent relationship with a puppy dog to heal. A lot of the stories sound like the opposite of boundaries Maybe the later years...he was definintely getting into that mentor role. Maybe that's what you meant.
