St. Paul Peterson will be performing his very first solo show in LA this coming Wednesday (15 January) at Herb Alpert's Vibrato Bar & Grill. Playing his own solo material, stuff from fDeluxe/The Family and songs from his tenure in the Time and most likely a nod or 2 to Prince. Susannah Melvoin will be joining him on vocals and you can expect appearances from a couple of his funky friends.

Anyone who has been fortunate enought to catch him live over the past year or so will know he puts ona great show featuringa bunch of funk jams and classic video.

He will be stopping by the Dakota 3rd week of February doing something called Funkedy with Sinbad. A curious combination. Hope he doesn't tip too much to Prince, being in Minneapolis as his stuff is what I want to hear.
