van gogh, the band i know this prince song was released during year 1 of npgmc. prince's version is fantastic! but has anyone heard the version by van gogh? i saw their CD in a pawn shop and should've bought it, just because. i think i'm gonna go back.

The Van Gogh version is pretty different to the Prince original.
anyone here have/recommend the van gogh CD? Although the album isnt to my taste, they put their own stamp on this Prince song, recognising that simply replicate the original offered to them just wouldn't have worked. So they took it and crafted it so they could deliver it with their own musical identity. ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift. |
