Kim Berry says NDA went to the grave with Prince Interview starts about halfway through.
Laughing about breaking an NDA. Man I'm really disliking this woman. I thought she had respect. No she's just trash. Why would anyone believe anything she says? Paisley Park is in your heart

On a technical level, she's right. NDA's only exist while the person in question is alive. When they die, so does the agreement. It doesn't pass onto an estate or anything. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

She doesn't even need to be mentioning Prince's mother or his child. [Edited 7/28/19 21:09pm]

I've lost all respect for her. I used to think she was the real deal and one of the good ones like Shelby & Liv. No more. You're right, she's trash. Paisley Park is in your heart

This interview doesn't surprise me. Evidently she didn't get enough backlash when she mentioned his mom, in her book. Argh...trash is too kind.

Nothing compared to attempting to sell his socks and his hair and then lying about it. But, the worst part is some "fans" still supported her after this betrayal.

I know this bitch didn't say her book was part 1 of a 3 part series of books. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Many of the things she talks about have been known for a long time - that Prince was a “normal” guy, that he hid the death of his Son from the press, that he and MJ had a friendly rivalry. * I think his comment about his Mother when she was dying (if she is telling the truth) is endearing and normal. Most people would wish they could do something to stop their parent or family member from dying. It’s quite normal. * I still think her discussions with Prince were mainly limited to his hair and/or surface topics plus religion when he joined JW - I’m sure she was on his weekly “witnessing” schedule. He was smart and had been burned many times by former employees selling their stories to the press. He did not trust anyone.

So her Twitter page bio says "Prince Hairstylist 4 over 20 years". What happened to "29 Years Rolling With Rock Royalty"? And she still has this misleading banner on her website that the book is an Amazon best seller and went to #1. Yeah it might have been #1 for a few seconds in some deep subcategory where it doesn't take many sales to hit #1. This banner would make you think it was #1 in all books on Amazon. So dishonest she is. I hope people are catching on. The stuff she posts on Twitter have no replies and hardly any likes.

Amazon even pulled it for awhile there. People prepaid Berry for this book and never got it. LOL Scam artist.

Discussing his baby was too.

I won't be purchasing this book.I don't like these kind of books...."I worked for Prince for 20 years, here's my exclusive story!" it's wrong and really sad how these people try to "cash in" when a famous person dies.

People who buy this book are the same people that watch TMZ, the Kardashions and other such crap. They love gossip and drama of any kind whether it's real or fake. Kim should be ashamed of herself. I have nothing against people writing books, but this one is clearly all about gossip and things told in confidence and perhaps even outright lies.

I have noticed that a number of Prince's former employees, musicians, friends etc. have been conspiculously ambivalent about Prince until his later career. It is not only Kim...I can name many right off the top. Kim is being indirectly ambivalent. (IMO) Why is this? I don't think this is a sign of evil on their part. Relationships are more nuanced and I would like to resist fashioning Prince as completely blameless for the uneasy quality of some of his relationships.
Let's just say that working for Prince may have had it's very difficult moments, some of these moments may have even been humiliating. I get the sense that a number of previous employees were at best, ambivalent about Prince. His treatment of some of his staff, musicians, proteges, at times, may have eroded their sense of loyalty. I get the feeling that Kim suppressed alot of feelings over the years.
I listened to a podcast with Tommy Elm (Barbarella), who seems like a likeable, 'normal' guy and he mentioned that fear and 'mind games' were ever-present working for Prince. He compared working for Nick Jonas, though a lesser musician, as more respectful and straight-forward. Though very loyal to Prince, Morris Hayes mentioned the fear as well.
I do think Prince evolved into a softer, more respectful guy in his later years and seemed to have treated 3rd Eye Girl very well (and other later musicians), so this may have had some impact as to why they have behaved so discreetly.
