Donna Grantis cancels NYC gig on 6/27 Was looking forward to seeing Donna take the stage and play, had a ticket. But received an email yesterday afternoon that it had been cancelled, no reason given, and refunds already given. Not sure what happened, she just played a show, and even tweeted out about coming to NYC the other night, so odd could be a VISA issue. I saw canadian artist LUCETTE at the City Winery a few weeks ago and she had to throw half a band together in a day or two because of VISA's not given to a few band members. Isn't she due to have a baby in the next five minutes? We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

its strange because she has gigs booked all the way into September random dates. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

Yeah i realize its just the timeline, she is I believe almost 5-6 months and scheduling shows in September? Is a little odd that venues would book gigs knowing cancelling is very possible. But again its not known what the issue is, could be that and could be a Visa issue with her, band members etc.. Right this is well known I am just saying as a "Venue" sometimes they are weary to book knowing that there is a good chance of cancellation, especially as it gets closer, thats all I am saying. Yeah the issue was not explained it had to be something with the Venue or sales. She was in NYC that day doing radio interviews, so it was either sales or venue dispute or band members could not get visa clearance, which happens alot.
