Hmmm, should be interesting but it all sounds rather calculating that she wrote it so soon after working with him. Perhaps P found out and that's why it seemed their collaboration seemed to end as suddenly as it began, or maybe they had a bust up and this is her side of what happened.

In fact there has been a lot of shameless cashing in so far and I have resisted most of it, it all feels a bit cynical.

He was tweeting his support for her when she was on The Voice in 2015 so seems that they were on decent terms then. I've wondered what had happened with her plans for the book since there had been no mention since her interview for Uncovering Prince. She said she was planning to release Milk and Honey along with it if I remember right.

At the Brit Awards show Prince kissed her on the cheek during his performance. I knew right there and then his marriage with M2 was done.

Also that she was planning to do a docureality where she would share some of the emails she received from him. From the new interview it sounds like those ideas may have been scrapped.though she said in the interview that she's planning to release a text message from him so maybe she's going to release the emails too.

Im right here on my stoop. If she does I'll be right on it, if she doesn't I'm not holding my breath. I get it, shes got kids, a husband, commitments, touring and other stuff. If the prject turns into something else totally different than first presented then I wish her luck in her new endeavors.

Yeah it would be nice for it to finally have an official release. I think she has said that she owns the masters of the album so I suppose she could have copies made and distributed through some outlet if that's the case.

I am looking forward to read it. Oh wow I didn't know Prince was part of her life earlier on.

Kim Berry streamed some of Tamar's performance and talk at Electric Fetus today on one of her Facebooks. She sounded great! She talked about a book and workbook that she will be making available on June 7th called "100 Things To Know As An Independent Artist" She said that would be a "precursor",I suppose to her memoir. She also said that when they release"Red Headed Stepchild" there will be a video as well and more stuff from Milk and Honey in the future.Kim also showed some of Tamar's talk at the author's conference where she talked about meeting Kirk and the writing of "Beautiful Loved & Blessed" She said that will be one of the stories she will go into detail about in the book. Interesting to me that she said it was inspired by a drum loop that Kirk was playing. She talked about performing it with Prince on SNL as well and that he told her that he didn't think he could sing the song with her again because he felt like he saw angels when they sang it. She said she told him that was a good thing and he told her that the song was too deep for people to grasp at that time and that was why they didn't perform it again. She broke down while talking about it. I'm looking forward to reading this book now. From what she said,it will cover the writing and recording of some of the songs on 3121 and Milk & Honey.

Really? That is cool. Prince also did his part to donate to schools too.

The government had been cutting lot of art related classes and resources for years. So good for Tamar to make it available to schools especially for the younger generation to see.

Yes,I agree. She said she has been speaking at schools for about seven years now and when she began writing her memoir,she was thinking about including a page at the end with tips for independent artists but decided to turn it into a book instead.

I will defintely be purchasing the book.I have my own Tamar stories. Like the time she fell on me.

The common thread is profiting off of Prince's passing.....there are literally no checks and balances to what people say in the flood of memoirs and books coming out as Prince is not here to refute or confirm any of it.

We all want to hear things about Prince that we haven't before, I would just suggest using a discerning eye when doing so. These people are not coming out with books because they love Prince, they are coming out with books because they need the money and know people will buy it.
